I'm going into Space!

Updated: May 23, 2020

Well as close as I can currently get! On 27th May 2020 NASA and SpaceX launch a manned spaceflight to the International Space Station (ISS) with NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley.

SpaceX and NASA invited this years graduating students to submit images to form part of a mosaic of the Earth that will be printed off and flown on board during this historic spaceflight to the ISS. As a huge space fanatic I am absolutely thrilled to be one of the images making up the artwork to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class of 2020 and mark this important moment of spaceflight history.

The Earth image below is the artwork that the mosaic of graduate photographs will form.

I'm always excited to watch SpaceX launches but getting to be one of the lucky students forming a tiny part of this mission is very special.

My photo helps to form part of a cloud formation off the coast of Columbia, floating near the Galapagos Islands!

What a perfect finale to my science and space inspired degree project at Glasgow School of Art and what a wonderful way to to celebrate graduation! Thanks Elon! :)
